Sydney Superdome - Creating a Coronet of Steel

The Sydney Superdome is a sports and entertainment stadium designed for the Sydney Olympics with seating for nearly 21,000 spectators.
The steel roof suspension system works in concert with a truss system, making the SuperDome unique in world architecture. It has four-story high transparent glass walls and clear interior spans.
It also utilizes the world's largest rooftop solar power station, with the capacity to generate enough electricity to save 85 tonnes of carbon dioxide being emitted every year.
Beenleigh Steel Fabrications was awarded the contract to supply, fabricate, deliver and erect the steel for the Superdome and were able to meet the delivery demands, transporting trailer-loads of steel from Brisbane to Sydney.
